FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is DuetWallet a banking app like Zeta?

No. DuetWallet doesn't issue cards or hold deposits. We connect to your existing accounts to surface transactions and run the weekly Money Date. Zeta is a fuller banking platform.

Could I use both?

Yes, and many couples we've talked to do. Zeta for the joint card and shared banking, DuetWallet for the weekly conversation and envelope discipline.

Why is Zeta free and DuetWallet paid?

Zeta's free tier is partly subsidized by their banking-product revenue (interchange fees on the joint card). We don't have a banking layer, so we don't have that revenue. The paid model is what keeps us ad-free.
