1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using DuetWallet, you agree to these terms of use.

2. The service

DuetWallet is a couples finance application. We provide the iOS app, the backend that syncs between paired partners, and the guided Money Date experience.

3. Your account

DuetWallet uses Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping your Apple ID and device secure. By using DuetWallet, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

4. Subscriptions and billing

DuetWallet offers a 7-day free trial with full access. After the trial, continued use requires an auto-renewable subscription:

• DuetWallet Monthly, US $6.99 per month, providing one month of access.
• DuetWallet Annual, US $49.99 per year, providing twelve months of access.

Prices in other currencies are set by Apple based on your App Store region and may vary.

As required by Apple, please note the following:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the chosen package.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iOS device.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy; we are unable to issue refunds directly.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use DuetWallet to: violate any law; harass, harm, or impersonate another person; reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the app; or attempt to compromise our infrastructure.

6. Intellectual property

The DuetWallet name, logo, app design, and codebase are owned by us. You retain ownership of the data you record in the app (transactions, notes, etc.).

7. Termination

You can stop using DuetWallet at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can request full data deletion via support@duetwallet.com.

8. Disclaimers

DuetWallet is provided "as is". We make no warranty about uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or financial accuracy. The app helps you record and discuss your finances. It does not provide financial advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of DuetWallet is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
